Meeting of the CEI Ministers of Agriculture
Under the auspices of the Moldovan Presidency to the Central European Initiative, the Meeting of the CEI Ministers of Agriculture with the theme “Countries’ Practices in Sustainable Agriculture Development. Agriculture for Development” was convened on 23 October 2008, with the participation of the majority of Member States and representatives of the CEI Executive Secretariat and Project Secretariat, European Commission, FAO, UNDP and IFAD.
Meeting of the CEI Ministers of Transport
On 3rd of July 2008, in Chisinau, under the auspices of the Moldovan Central European Initiative (CEI) Presidency, was organized the Meeting of the CEI Ministers of Transport.
The strengthening of the EU and CEI cooperation will be discussed in Brussels
In the period of April 23—24 2008, Mr. Valeriu Ostalep, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, together with Mr. Pietro Ercole Ago, Secretary General of the Executive Secretariat of the Central European Initiative, will have an official visit to Brussels.
Meeting of the Committee of National Coordinators of the CEI Member States
On January 31st 2008 in Chisinau took place the first Meeting of the Committee of National Coordinators of the CEI Member States within the Presidency of our country to CEI. At the Meeting participated representatives of 18 member states, the General Director of the Initiative, as well as representatives of the Executive Secretariat and Secretariat for CEI Projects.
The Working visit to the Republic of Moldova of the Director General of the Central European Initiative
The CEI Director General, Mr. Pietro-Ercole Ago in a working visit to the Republic of Moldova on the ocassion of our countries’ Presidency to the Central European Intative, had a press conference, at the MFAEI, together with Mr. Valeriu OSTALEP, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova.
The Republic of Moldova took over the Presidency to the Central European Initiative
On December 17, 2007 in Trieste, Italia, within the Meeting of the National Coordinators of the Central European Initiative, the Republic of Moldova took over officially, the Presidency to the CEI. The decision regarding the Presidency of our country was adopted within the Summit of the CEI Prime Ministers that took place on November 27, 2007 in Sofia (Bulgaria). The Republic of Moldova will hold the Presidency during the next year starting with January 1 2008.
