Good neighbourly accommodations and development cooperation essential for progress in South East Europe, said RCC Secretary General at the Summit of regional leaders
CHISINAU/SARAJEVO, 5 June 2009 – “Good neighbourly accommodations are essential for moving South East Europe (SEE) forward at the time of challenging regional agenda and the adverse effects of the current economic and financial crisis“, said Hido Biscevic, Secretary General of the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), at the meeting of the SEE Heads of State and Government, held in Chisinau today.
First RCC Annual Meeting endorses the Secretary General’s Annual Report and Strategic Work Programme of the organization
CHISINAU/SARAJEVO, 4 June 2009 – The first Annual Meeting of the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), held in Chisinau today, endorsed the RCC Secretary General’s Annual Report on regional co-operation in SEE and the 2009-2010 Strategic Work Programme of the organization.
SEECP Ministerial Meeting: pleading for strengthening of the regional cooperation process
On 30th January 2009, in Chisinau, the Informal Meeting of the SEECP Ministers of Foreign Affairs took place, which was attended by high level representatives of the Diplomacies of the SEECP participating states, as well as by the representatives of the current Presidency of the Czech Republic to the EU and the future Swedish Presidency, European Commission officials, and the Secretary General of the Regional Cooperation Council, as special invitees of the SEECP Chairmanship of the Republic of Moldova.

Meeting of the Presidents of the Supreme Audit Institutions of the SEECP Participating States
On September 19, 2008 Chisinau hosted the Meeting of the Presidents of the Supreme Audit Institutions of the SEECP Participating States and the International Conference “Ways to Improve SAIs Activity within the European Vector Framework: Experience and Practices of the South-East European SAIs”, held under the auspicious of the Moldovan SEECP Chairmanship-in-Office.
International Conference on science and education policies
On September 19, 2008, the Republic of Moldova hosted the International Conference for the Central and Eastern Europe, Balkans, Caucasus and Baltic States “Science and Education Policies”, which was attended by Ministers of Education and Science, as well as the Presidents of the Academies of Sciences from Central and South East European states, Caucasus, Balkans, CSI and Baltic States. The Chisinau Conference gathered 74 scientists from 24 states of the respective regions and 9 international organizations, 120 from the Republic of Moldova, as well as representatives of the Embassies accredited to the Republic of Moldova, totally amounting about 200 participants.
Conclusions of the International Conference “Regional Cooperation — Opportunities, Challenges and Synergy”
Following the International Conference “Regional Cooperation — Opportunities, Challenges and Synergy”, organized on 17 June 2008, in Chişinău, under the regional Chairmanships the Republic of Moldova exercises during 2008—2009, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration has prepared the Conclusions of the Conference.

On 17 June 2008, in Chişinău, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Moldova organized the international conference “Regional Cooperation – Opportunities, Challenges and Synergy” held under the auspicious of the regional Chairmanship-in-Offices exercised by the Republic of Moldova during 2008—2009.

The meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the South East European Cooperation Process took place on May 20th 2008 in Pomorie (Bulgaria). The meeting was organized under the auspices of the Bulgarian Chairmanship to the SEECP. The delegation of the Republic of Moldova was led by Mr. Andrei Stratan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, that held a speech outlining the main objectives of the future chairmanship of the Republic of Moldova to the SEECP.
